## Description
A lease operator monitors the day to day production from assigned wells constantly working to optimize production rates while minimizing lease operating expenses.
Must demonstrate safe and ethical behavior at all times
Has the right and obligation to stop work if an unsafe condition exists or is suspected
Must demonstrate a strong work ethic at all times
Must be willing to work in Team oriented environment
Must be able to safely and effectively wear SCBA equipment and work in an H2S environment
Perform operational check of assigned wells and associate equipment and facilities as necessary
Supervise routine well work as time and experience allow
Conduct production tests. Perform minor repairs on surface production and injection equipment
Witness purchaser's gauges and tests, ensuring accuracy of run tickets
Represent the company in delivery of materials and equipment
Help maintain compliance, in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Foreman and EHS Department, with all regulatory, environmental, and safety regulations
Assist the Foreman with supervision of projects as time and experience allow
Maintain positive relationship with Local, State, and Federal representatives and surface owners
Support and maintain all company policies
Secure and maintain all Devon issued equipment, including but not limited to computers, vehicles, and analysis or test equipment
Operate Company vehicles and equipment
Travel and work extended hours on short notice
Capable of climbing stairs, ladders, fixed to various equipment during production and drilling operations
Actively support and participate in Company Safety Program(s)
Assume responsibility and authority to stop unsafe work on Devon locations by employees or contractors
## Qualifications
High School Degree or G.E.D preferred
Minimum of two years'' general oilfield and lease operator experience
Good communication, both verbal and written
Capable of working effectively within a team environment
Creative individual, capable of analyzing and solving mechanical problems
Must live, or be willing to relocate to, within a 50 mile radius of facility.
